Chris Nadeau has had a stellar career for the Red Hawks. The 6'0", 195 pound Saline, Michigan native batted over .300 in the 2007 season while starting 54 games. In those games Nadeau put together an impressive 11 game hitting streak while scoring 47 runs and collecting a team high 41 RBIs.

Nadeau made the move to the outfield from the first base position where he spent the majority of his playing time during the 2006 season posting a .280 batting average while hitting at a .308 clip in MAC conference play.

Last week Nadeau was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Baseball Player of the Week. Nadeau had a stellar weekend at the plate in the DeMarini Invitational, hosted by Arizona State. Against three nationally-ranked teams, No. 1 Arizona State, No. 3 Vanderbilt and No. 7 Oregon State, Nadeau hit .556 (5-of-9), including a double and scored three runs. After drawing two walks against the top-ranked Sun Devils, Nadeau went 2-for-4 against the back-to-back national champions, Oregon State, before delivering a 3-for-3 performance against last year's SEC champs, Vanderbilt, which tied a career-high for most hits in a game. Nadeau was named to the DeMarini Invitational All-Tournament team for his outstanding play throughout the weekend.

Jordan Petraitis will join Nadeau and look to provide some pop from the infield. The 6’3”, 201 pound native of Canal Fulton, Ohio garnered first team All-MAC honors in 2007 on the strength of posting a .318 batting average. Petraitis finished second among his Red Hawk teammates in several offensive categories, including homeruns and hits. He also posted a slugging percentage of .461 and an impressive 27 game hitting streak. During his freshman season, Petraitis registered a .309 in conference batting average, which was the best in the MAC.
